Q: In your experience, do you feel that you face additional challenges being a woman in your profession that you have had to overcome?
Q: What are you most proud of in your time at Kantata?
I’m most proud of the fact that I have a lot of impact on what I do. I can see my everyday tasks being played out within the wider business. I like the fact that I am a go-to person here in the UK and in the wider business, but I feel like I have a close connection with our UK team. What I find most exciting about my role is that no two days are the same. I guess you could say that for any role, but I think specifically for an HR Ops role it varies. One day you could be dealing with the benefits, next you could be dealing with employee relations, then you could be dealing with employee engagement, and then you could just be dealing with queries from people who have questions about their PTO, when they can go on maternity leave or paternity leave and how they can get that booked in. So I think it just varies from day to day, and I think that’s what I find most exciting because no two days are alike.
Q: What’s a project or initiative you’re currently working on at Kantata that you’re passionate about and why?
Q: What first sparked your interest in working in the tech industry?
I previously studied some modules of Computer Science so I had the chance to work in Tech Support with servers. Since then, I have been involved in the tech industry. Now I enjoy working in the same tech environment but in a more administrative career.
